The sights of southern Brooklyn.

Justin said that this is "tempting, everytime!"

Home Sweet Home!

This is a picture Justin's companion, Elder Swift. He's the one with the blue backpack. This is the only picture we have of him. The other two elders share the apartment with Elder Swift and Elder Maughan.

This is the front of Justin's apartment building. I guess it took them an hour and a half to clean it BEFORE Justin could unpack! Yikes! I don't dare publish that photo!

WELCOME TO NEW YORK

THIS WAS JUSTIN'S WELCOME AT THE LAGUARDIA AIRPORT, QUEENS NEW YORK.

Some things NEVER change!

Justin labeld THIS picture, "Cute girl cutting my hair!" Oh, the lucky girls that get this job!

I guess there's some "down-time" at the MTC!

Justin labeled this picture: Master Jedi Risley's and Sith Lord Maughan's "Duel of the Fates." (Bet you never knew Light Sabers were on the list of things you need as a missionary!)

MTC Teachers

Justin and Brother Billings

District 21-D with Brother Billings and Sister Bennett. Justin's companions are Elder Redden to his right and Elder Kalumbi to Sister Bennets left. Justin said his teachers were AWESOME and that his District was great! He made a lot of new friends at the MTC.

Brooklyn Bridge

Justin is serving in Bensonhurst which is in the southern part of Brooklyn. He can see the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge from here. Coney Island is at the southern most part of this area. He can see Manhattan everytime he rides the train/subway. His companion is Elder Swift and they are both new to this area. Elder Swift has never served in Bensonhurst before so it's new to both of them. Justin said it's called being, "blinded in". He said President Bennion must be a man of great faith to do this! There's only one ward in Brooklyn and most of their neighborhood is Jewish. It's been rainy there and being in the big city has made him appreciate home. There are four missionaries sharing an apartment, the other two are Chinese. He's already had a chance to sample some of New Yorks finest pizza at a place called "The Original Italia". He expressed appreciation to all of us and he sounded great. Monday's are P-day (preparation day) so hopefully we'll get an email today.
